This Returns Policy outlines ZeroTrace's stance on product returns, warranty coverage, and the process for handling defective products. Please read this policy and your regional carve-out carefully before making a purchase.

No Returns Policy (Global Default)

At ZeroTrace, we do not accept returns of our hardware products except where required by applicable law. This policy is in place because we thoroughly test each device before shipping to ensure it meets our rigorous quality standards. Please read the regional exceptions below.

Quality Assurance

Every ZeroTrace device undergoes comprehensive testing before leaving our facility, including hardware functionality verification, firmware integrity testing, security protocol validation, physical inspection for manufacturing defects, and performance benchmarking. This ensures that you receive a fully functional and secure device that meets our specifications.

Limited Warranty

ZeroTrace devices come with a limited warranty covering manufacturing defects for 7 days from delivery. This warranty does not cover physical/user-caused damage, water/liquid damage, damage from unauthorized modifications, normal wear and tear, or issues from improper use.

Defective Products

If you believe your device has a manufacturing defect covered by our warranty, contact our support team within the warranty period, providing a detailed description and photographic/video evidence. Our technical team will work with you to troubleshoot the problem. If a defect is confirmed, we will repair or replace the device at our discretion. You are responsible for all shipping costs for warranty claims, including return and re-shipment.

Software and Firmware

Our no-returns policy applies to hardware only. We provide ongoing firmware updates and software support to ensure your device continues to function optimally and securely.

Returns & Refunds (European Union / EEA)

  • EU and EEA residents: Under EU law (Directive 2011/83/EU), you may have the right to withdraw from your online purchase within 14 days of delivery for most consumer goods.
  • Exclusions: Custom or security-sensitive hardware, tampered security seals, or devices with installed software/firmware updates may not be eligible. Used, damaged, or altered devices are not eligible.
  • Process: If you qualify and wish to exercise your right, you must contact us within 14 days and return the unused device at your own expense, in original packaging, with all accessories and documentation. You are responsible for return shipping, tracking, insurance, and all associated costs. Refunds are issued only after inspection and approval.
  • Restocking/Inspection Fees: Up to 20% restocking fee may be deducted for missing/damaged items or evidence of use.

Returns & Refunds (United States)

  • General: There is no right of return unless required by federal or state law. Warranty claims for manufacturing defects follow our global policy. You must pay all shipping both ways.
  • Exceptions: Certain states (e.g. California) may have additional consumer rights. If you believe you are eligible for an exception, contact us with legal proof.
  • Non-Refundable: Shipping, handling, and payment processing fees are never refundable.

Other Countries/Regions

Returns and refunds are not accepted unless required by local consumer protection laws. If you believe your jurisdiction entitles you to a return or refund, you must provide proof of your legal right and follow our strict process: contact us within the legal window, provide all requested documentation, and pay all shipping, customs, and processing costs yourself. Refunds are only issued after full inspection and approval.
